New York City Summer Intern Housing & Meals

Our summer housing facilities in New York City offer the convenience and comfort necessary for an easy transition into living in the big city. Participants will never feel alone, as they will reside among hundreds of other participants who together will take advantage of all that our program and city have to offer.

Interns will reside at fabulous New York University's (NYU) University Hall. This new freshmen residence hall is located in Greenwich Village just steps away from Union Square, Astor Place, and Washington Square Park.

Location

University Hall is located at 110 East 14th Street between 3rd & 4th Avenues, right in the heart of the Union Square neighborhood with its restaurants, shops, farmers market, Union Square Park and the Union Square Subway Station.

Features

This centrally-located, air-conditioned facility offers internet, phone, and TV service in each room. Your furnishings will include a long twin bed, desk, chair, dresser, and wardrobe. This is an apartment-style residence hall with bath, kitchen, and dining area in each unit. Large common lounge areas make it easy to hang out with your friends!

At the Residence Hall, you will have full access to:

  • Internet, cable TV, and phone service in your room
  • TV lounge, music practice room with piano,  study room.
  • Laundry facilities
  • Half block to sports center at Palladium.

Security

Entry to the Residence Hall is restricted to residents and authorized guests only and is monitored by a 24-hour security desk. Guests must present proper photo-identification to security and be escorted by residents at all times.

24/7 Onsite Staff Assistance

Your Resident Counselor will live in the dorm and support you in all aspects of your summer experience. Our staff is dedicated to delivering a high-quality experience that fosters professional and personal growth. Staff is available at all times to ensure your summer in the city is as safe as possible.

Meals

You will have two meals per day at the NYU dining hall (one on weekends). Interns are responsible for their lunch on workdays. 

Transportation

Our New York participants will receive a subway card to get to and from work each day, as well as transportation throughout the 4 weeks of the program for activities.

*Transportation to and from the program is NOT included.
